Comprehension

 

1.    identify main idea, supporting details, and sequence in a variety of texts.*

8.    proofread writing to correct errors in capitalization, spelling, and punctuation, and to produce a finished product relatively free of grammatical problems such as sentence fragments, agreement errors, and improper pronoun references.

 

9.    develop a main idea with relevant support and explanation in response to a prompt.*

Conventions

 

1.    use standard English in writing, including simple agreement of subject and verb; pronoun/antecedent agreement; consistent verb tense; and correct modifiers, including appositives.*
