2113 Employment of Superintendent


A Superintendent of Schools shall be employed by the Moffat County School District RE: No. 1. The term of his/her office shall begin the first day of July whenever practicable.

If at any time in the opinion of the majority of the members of the Board of Education, the services of the superintendent of Schools are not satisfactory, he/she shall be notified in writing of those areas of dissatisfaction.

Evaluation of the superintendent shall be completed annually by the regular October meeting so that all board members may have input. The renewal of a contract for the Superintendent of Schools will be considered at a regular January meeting of the Board of Education or at a time mutually agreed upon by the board and superintendent. At this time decisions will be made concerning re-election, salary, and length of contract. Each board member shall, at some time during his/her term of office, have the opportunity to consider the re-election of the superintendent. No contract shall be for a term longer than three years.
