Pay will be given to all full time 12 month hourly employees at the regular rate for the following school holidays:

July 4th; Labor Day; Day before and after and Thanksgiving; Dec 24 and 25;
Dec 31 and Jan 1; President’s Day; Memorial Day

In order to be paid for the holiday, the employee must work on the last scheduled day preceding and the first scheduled day after such a holiday or be on approved leave.

When any of the above holidays falls on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the Friday preceding such holiday if school is not in session. If the holiday falls on Sunday, then it shall be observed on Monday.

If an employee is scheduled to work a holiday, s/he will be paid for the holiday plus the regular daily rate.

All 12 month classified Central Office staff, plus the Director of Finance, Director of Transportation and the Director of Maintenance will be granted two weeks paid vacation, school holidays, and the adopted winter and spring breaks (excluding four days in calendar designated as breaks).

All 12 month hourly employees will be granted paid vacations based on the individual’s period of continuous employment.

Service

1-5 years 10 days

6-10 years 15 days

11 or more years 1 additional day per additional year up to 20 days 

All personnel must be employed for a minimum of one full year as of July 1 before a full vacation will be granted. An employee who has worked less will be granted vacation at the rate of 5/6 day per month, or major fraction thereof, worked in the preceding school year (July 1-June 30)

Where there is a conflict in vacation schedules that adversely affect district operations, seniority will prevail.

Vacation earned from July 1 to June 30 must be used before July 1 of the following year, or it will be forfeited.

No employee may receive pay in lieu of vacation time.
