The object of this unit is to teach students to recognize verisimilitude in literature and to use it in their own writing and speaking. Learners This lesson is anchored in high
school language arts. It can be adapted for students in lower levels
and for any language.
Curriculum Standards Language Arts Standards Addressed
Students apply conventions of language for effective communication. Along with the content standards, the student will also be encouraged to practice inference making, critical thinking, creative production, observation, and comparison and contrast. The Tasks The object of this unit is to teach students to recognize verisimilitude in literature and to use it in their own writing and speaking.

-This unit will familiarize you with the term verisimilitude. This unit is made of six tasks, each building on the other. Each task has its own icon represented by the five senses and the brain. For example, if you click on the eye icon, then you will go to the task identifying verisimilitude in writing. Remember to complete the tasks in order.
Evaluation The students can be evaluated using several methods. Here are three possibilities:
