Welcome to 8th grade Language Arts I have been a language arts teacher since my first assignment in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming in 1976. I have also taught in Laramie and Big Piney, Wyoming, before settling down in Craig with my wife and three children in 1990. Over the years, I have taught at many grade levels, but the majority of my teaching career has been spent working with middle school students. This probably says something about my sense of humor and my maturity level. I love Craig, and Moffat County, and I enjoy exploring the natural wonders available to denizens of this part of Colorado. I do a lot of reading and writing, and published my first book of poems, Feral Country, in 2006. I try to be active in the community and am a founding member of Friends of Northwest Colorado, an environmental group which focuses on responsible growth in terms of development in our area. Teaching has been good to me, and I really enjoy working with the incredible students, teachers and staff here in Moffat County.
