First Grade

 

1st Trimester

 

The student will be able to jump 10 feet correctly

 

The student will be able to place their face in the water

 

2nd Trimester

 

The student will be able to gallop correctly the length of the gym

 

The student will be able to perform log roll correctly

 

3rd Trimester

 

The student will be able to hop on each foot 10 feet correctly

 

The student will complete fitness testing: 1/2 mile, sit-ups, sit & reach, pull-ups

 


Essential Learnings for Physical Education

 

Second Grade

 

1st Trimester

 

The student will be able to perform the prone glide 5 yards or 5 seconds

 

The student will be able to demonstrate safe participation skills

 

2nd Trimester

 

The student will be able to perform a tuck forward roll correctly

 

The student will be able to skip the length of the gym correctly

 

3rd Trimester

 

The student will be able to perform the leap, at least four times correctly

 

The student will complete fitness testing: 1/2 mile, sit-ups, sit & reach, pull-ups

 


Essential Learnings for Physical Education


Third Grade

 

1st Trimester

 

The student will be able to dribble the soccer ball in a timed zig zag pattern using both feet in 25 seconds or less.  (cones are spaces 5 yards apart)

 

The student will be able to swim front stroke the width of the pool correctly

 

2nd Trimester

 

The student will be able to dribble a basketball with either hand for at least 30 seconds

 

The student will be able to perform a tripod for 5 seconds correctly

 

3rd Trimester

 

The student will be able to perform an underhand throw 10 times in a row correctly

 

The student will complete fitness testing: 1mile, sit-ups, sit & reach, pull-ups


Essential Learnings for Physical Education

 

Fourth Grade

1st Trimester

 

The student will be able to demonstrate good sportsmanship qualities on a consistent basis

 

The student will be able to swim the front stroke the length of the pool

 

2nd Trimester

 

The student will be able to catch a ball using two hands on a consistent basis

 

The student will be able to perform the overhand throw correctly

 

3rd Trimester

 

The student will complete fitness testing: 1 mile, sit-ups, sit & reach, pull-ups

 

The student will be able to jump rope 15 times consecutively, single bounce
