About Me

My name is Susan Nicholson and I am the

Physical Education Teacher at Sunset Elementary School.

Teaching has been a very rewarding experience and

I feel fortunate to have worked at the same school for 23 years.

(Sunset was my elementary school as a child.)

ODE TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Physical Education, A very important long word,
It has seven wonderful syllables, Which I'm afraid I often have slurred.
From serious blame, I hope you will free me.
Since in my old school, We only had P.E.
We used to say gym, From first grade to third,
But at Sunset that term, Is simply not heard.
We all love physical education, We can tumble or play a fast game;
And when we discuss this great class, We get exercise just saying the name.
My vocab's improved, As I'm sure you will see;
I've learned not to refer to gym as P.E!
