The Moffat County School District’s Early Childhood Program serves children with a variety of educational needs, including children with identified special education needs.  Services offered to children with disabilities or special education needs are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Children participate in enriching activities based on the Creative Curriculum model.  The Early Childhood Program utilizes funding from Colorado Preschool Program (CPP),  State and Federal Special Education Funds, and Tuition.

Or goal is to help each child develop a positive self-image, a positive attitude toward learning and to support children’s social and educational development.

All services are provided in partnership with families and family participation in all aspects of the program is welcomed.

The program is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services to serve children ages 3 through 5 and is available to residents of the Moffat County School District.  Contact the Early Childhood Education office at (970) 824-7457.

Go to this website and register. upk.colorado.gov Your application will go to the state and they will send it back to us. Once we have that information we will contact you about preschool for next year.

Attendance

Please call the Preschool office at 824-7457, if your child is going to be absent. If we do not hear from you it is considered an unexcused absence.

Authorized Adult Pick up

Individuals authorized by parents/guardians to pick up children from preschool, must be 18 years of age and their name must be included on permission form. IF A CHILD IS TO BE PICKED UP BY SOMEONE NOT ON THE CHILD’S “PERMISSION TO PICK UP” FORM, THE SCHOOL MUST BE NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN.

Our Philosophy

The Moffat County School District’s Early Childhood program provides integrated services that provide a foundation for lifelong learning and supports the role of the parents/guardians as partners in their child’s educational development. Each classroom has children varying in ages, developmental levels, strengths, and needs. Each child will be warmly received as an individual with unique needs and interests.

Preschool Hours

Half Day Morning half day session drop off is from 7:30 – 7:45. pick up is from 10:45 - 11:00 Class is 7:45 - 10:45

Afternoon half day session drop off is 11:45-12:00. Pick up is from 3:00 - 3:15 Class is 12:00 - 3:00 Full Day Drop off is from 8:00 to 8:15.
Pick up is 2:30 - 2:45 Class is 8:15 - 2:30.

We only have curbside pickup and drop off this year. teachers will come out and get your students and bring them out at the end of the session.
