Concurrent Pathways

Moffat County High School places a strong emphasis on providing opportunities to students to prepare for careers or post-secondary education of all kinds while still in high school.

This year, Moffat County High School is thrilled to be dramatically expanding our opportunities for students to enroll in Concurrent Pathway programs. We are adding on to our previous offerings of Automotive, Cosmetology, and General Education Associates, offered for many years through a partnership with CNCC. Now we also are offering pathways for Nurses Aid, Education Certificate, and Culinary through a new partnership with Colorado Mountain College.

This exciting development means more opportunities for our upper classmen to prepare to enter the workforce or post-secondary school with significant experience and education credentials already on board. Registration is beginning now for incoming Juniors and Seniors, and we want all students and families to be considering their best options.

These opportunities do not cost students or families anything. They are free to students, with costs covered by the school district, representative of our commitment to provide deeply meaningful preparatory opportunities for our Moffat County High School students.

Basic details about the pathways can be found in the attached flyer, and more information is available if students email College and Career Coordinator Bill Zenner at william.zenner@moffatsd.org.

We strongly encourage students to explore these opportunities to prepare for life after graduation. The chance to learn and prepare for your next stage of life while still in high school is unique and special, and should not be taken lightly. High school is a time for experiencing the present as well as preparing for the future.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mr. Zenner to learn more about this important and valuable opportunity!
